EU-RISE is a two-year European Union-funded project focused on advancing space robotics for in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing (ISAM). The project aims to analyze the market for in-space services and identify potential business opportunities. It will also develop a roadmap for ISAM through the creation of reference scenarios and mature robotic technologies and possibly help establish an open-source platform for their development. The project seeks to position Europe as a global leader in the space industry and, among other things, contribute to a more sustainable space environment.
Libre Space Foundation participates in this project, and its main role is to design and develop an open-source strategy for some of the software needed for this project.
